It's most likely a leak in the air springs. If you're really insistent on finding our for yourself, if you can weasel yourself under the back of the car far enough (just after shutting it off) spray the air bags with a solution of soapy water. If you see large bubbles on the side of the bags, congratulations, you've won yourself a potentially very expensive replacement.

Or, as an alternative, the aftermarket sells a set of springs that just pop right into place where the air bags went. You then usually have to clip a wire at the air suspension module to disable the check suspension light. This costs usually less than half of the cost of replacing the airbags, and I've never had a customer come back and tell me they wished they'd spent the money on new air bags.

The compressor is on it's way out. You can probably save some coin by going to Arnott for a replacement compressor.

If it is letting the car settle all the way down, have the rear air bags and lines checked. If the problem continues it can causes problems with the compressor down the road.

Could be. Or it could be a short in the wiring. You would have to use a short finder, multimeter or a power probe to trace the wiring and determine where your issue is, then repair the harness or replace the failed component.

Remove windshield washer reservoir. Compressor is under it.
91 has a valve to pump it up with air hose. The valve is not present on later models. If compressor is working, then probably air bags leaking. If compressor is not working, first check fuses. Probably compressor has died. Fix by replacing compressor and/or air bags, or convert to coil springs.
